We are being inundated with negative reports of climatic changes that are going to we are told change the way future generations live. But how much are just graphs, books and movies embellishing on natures usual machinations? The problem with trying to predict the climatic conditions in the next 50 years is the many variables that climatologists agree make forecasting future temperatures an unclear science.
Climate of fear
The climate message is being shouted from the roof tops of governmental organizations and from the very heart of science itself, but looking at the facts and figures rather than crystallizing the implications of mans activities upon the planet the information only adds to the confusion.AL Gore had us shaking in our seats with his movie "Inconvenient truth" Rachelle Carson and her book "Silent spring" back in the 60's was warning we were heading for environmental disaster, yet mankind is still deliberating as to whether we act or continue our deleterious activities.
Think globally act locally
Think globally act locally the catch cry of Green peace back in the early 80's has never been more relevant than today, rather than acting individually we are collectively in denial and it suites our agenda. The agenda of a wanton lifestyle that is chewing resources faster than nature can produce or repair. Now you don't need to be an Oxford scholar to work out that mans activities are having a deleterious effect upon the eco system regardless of the climatic changes. So rather than worry ourselves about the science behind global warming or climate change let’s just focus on lifting our individual impact upon the planet, and guess what? We will start to see this mess turning around for the better.
The environmental message from the roosters coop.
